2008 Mitsubishi Lancer QuickLIFT installation guide
Removes all items from the packing tube. You should have the following before you start:
* (2) gas springs (RT-QL-170-A6A) – be sure to cycle through them a few times before installation.
* (4) # 2-3/16 Multi grip rivets (used in the hood are given in brackets)
* (2) ball studs and washers for Central locking nut.
* (2) mounting brackets
* Printed colour instructions
* The gas spring to the central locking clips (already installed gas spring ball-ends – remove before installing)
Before you start installation, collect the following tools:
* Power drill
* 3/16, indexed by # 11 & 5/16 drill bits
* Great perm or felt pen
* A tape measure or ruler
* Masking Tape
* Hammer & center punch
* The rivet gun, may be 3/16 rivets (most brands can handle this size)
Note: use only the system sells the QuickLIFT rivets.
A. open and prop the hood.
(B) in the middle of the engine compartment on the driver's side ... standing, examine the area of the inner fender lip.
Note the overhanging fender mounting bolt. The center line of the Flash should be used to align the ball stud bracket (3/8 "offset to the left or to the front of the vehicle). In the back of the bracket against the lip.
(C) either on a flat rack the rack to harmonise. position the left side below the metal or by using the image on the right (the centerline to replace the 3/8 ") measurement.
