1996 Volkswagen Golf fuses & breakers

The fuse Panel is located under the dash board on the left side of the driver's knee cabriolet, Fox, Jetta, rabbit, and Pickup. The Golf and GTI models the Panel is located under the dash Panel on the driver's right knee.
Note: all models of the fuse technical data are shown inside the control panel cover.
Warning: always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to maintenance, "a high-current fuses. It is recommended that the "high current" fuses shall be replaced by a qualified technician.

RADIATOR CAP
Warning: always disconnect the fan motor when working close to the radiator fan. The fan is temperature controlled and can be started at any time, even when the ignition key is in the OFF position. Do not disconnect or remove the radiator Cap when the cooling system is hot.

REPLACE BLOWN FUSES
Before replacing a blown fuse, remove the ignition key, turn off all the lights and accessories in order to avoid the electrical system. Be sure to use the correct fuse amperage rating indicated. Incorrect amperage rating of the circuit breaker can result in hazardous electrical system overload.

BATTERY WARNING
