2000-2005 Volkswagen Jetta/Golf 1.8 K & N Drycharger installation
This package comes with the K & N? Drycharger must be installed K & N? air filter this K & N? cold air intake system. K N Cold Air intake system & performance product that can be used safely during mild weather conditions. During the harsh and inclement weather conditions to convert cold air intake system short ram configuration or to restore the intake Air box and OEM car stocks in the digestive tract of the configuration. If you do not follow these instructions may void the warranty.
Installation:
1. turn off the power and disconnect the negative battery cable.
Note: Disconnect the negative pole of the cable, remove the pre-programmed electronic memories. Write down all of the memory settings before you disconnect the battery's negative cable. Some radios require Anti-theft-coded added after the battery is rebuilt. Anti-theft code is typically delivered to the user's Guide. If your vehicle's anti-theft code cannot be reset, please contact the authorized dealership buy vehicles anti-theft code.
2. press the foot pedal on the side tabs of the battery cover and remove as shown.
3. first disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the battery positive cable.
4. unplug the mass air sensor to the electrical connection as shown.
5. disconnect the hose from the clamp, as shown in the mass air sensor.
6. remove the air cleaner cover screws as shown.
7. disconnect the air pump to vent the hose as shown.
8. disconnect the air cleaner as described.
